Energy Forum, UCSB (EF-UCSB) is a  student-run campus group that will provide a forum for UCSB students to engage in fact-based discussion on a broad range of energy issues, including energy research, emerging technology, renewable energy, energy policy, business development, feasibility, environmental impacts, and sustainability. EF-UCSB intends to become a highly visible platform  for discussing and catalyzing solutions to local and global energy challenges. We are inspired  in part  by  the success of our fellow members of the Collegiate Energy Association  [http://www.collegeenergy.org/]. 'EF' represents UCSB students in this consortium of universities with energy interests across  America  and Europe.

Energy Forum Lecture Series A monthly lecture series featuring prominent speakers from the energy field at UCSB and beyond. These keynote energy lectures , which will include 20 minutes of moderated open discussion , will be held at the Faculty Club. Energy Forum will seek to promote discussion of disruptive energy ideas. Ambitious,  creative and informed  students will be in high demand to transform today's energy industry into the  energy industry of tomorrow.

Energy Discussion Series
A monthly document-based energy discussion series   to be led by graduate student experts in various energy areas. Key documents will be distributed before each meeting and open discussion will be moderated by the discussion leader. Possible topics include: “World & U.S. Energy Overview”, “State-Driven U.S. Renewable Energy Policy”, CSP potential, Wind Power - Fact and Fiction;  “Coal Power: Myths & Realities”; Lighting Options-Scaling and Costs; Fuel Cell / Battery Technology.

Energy Tours Series
A series of tours to Central Coast Area energy facilities to promote awareness, internships, outreach, and jobs.
